The AI Platform will Provide Ukrainians an Accessible Flow of Real-Time Humanitarian Aid Information, while Simultaneously Strengthening Accountability and Deterrence of War Crimes.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, the world has witnessed a mounting number of war crimes, with escalating casualties and the displacement of more than 10 million citizens. Ordinary people find themselves on the frontlines of violent conflict in a matter of minutes. In these situations, accessible technology that provides resources, transparency, and life-saving information is more crucial than ever.

As the situation on the ground evolves, equipping Ukrainians with a two-way communication platform to receive and report pertinent information is vital to their survival during the conflict and its aftermath.

PeaceTech Lab (PTL) and its partner Patrocinium, a technology software and services company that develops the next generation of innovative safety solutions, are developing KRONIKA, a real-time and systematized AI humanitarian mechanism to help protect Ukrainian civilians and help hold Russia accountable. KRONIKA works by providing an in-depth monitoring and interactive geo-location of local events for humanitarian response including military movements, location of food and medical supplies, and recording of war crimes.

To date, there is no two-way mobile-based solution for civilians affected by war in Ukraine to capture human rights atrocities against their people and country and to push local real-time humanitarian aid information to people on the ground.

Currently, civilians are forced to proactively monitor multiple channels to track air raids, safe corridors, humanitarian aid, and other lifesaving resources.

KRONIKA fills the urgent need for a 24/7 comprehensive tool to inform and protect civilians and inform governments and organizations assisting Ukraine, as s well as, support local efforts.

THE NEED

THE PLATFORM

KRONIKA is a real-time humanitarian mobile-ready end to end encrypted platform for providing critical information to civilians on the ground and enabling civilians to record human rights atrocities and war crimes.

Whether evacuating or staying in the country, civilians can record human right abuses, war crimes, and critical issues such as human trafficking, kidnappings, and resource needs on the ground and abroad. Verified imagery and data will be provided to the relevant authorities.

For citizens on the ground, KRONIKA launches iOS and Android apps that help users report crimes in Ukraine accurately.

In mere seconds, anyone can download the application from the App Store, create an account, and record photos and videos.

The application automatically embeds information such as time, date, and GPS coordinates. In addition, mobile users can receive in-app notifications and geo-tagged updates.

With KRONIKA, humanitarian agencies and organizations assisting Ukraine will have the ability to inform civilians how and where to get immediate help such as food, shelter, and medical assistance during the conflict and after the fighting ceases.

The platform’s adaptability will allow it to evolve as an aftermath solution, adjusting to monitor key indicators to help guide and support conflict-aware stabilization and reconstruction, including analytics of local needs and migration movements through anonymized cell phone data.

"Being a tech organization, whose core ethos is countering violent conflict to advance peace and whose motto is literally ‘putting the right tools in the right hands,’ bestows upon us the responsibility of interceding in order to help save lives. KRONIKA is designed to empower the people who have decided to stay and governments and organizations assisting Ukraine. This AI humanitarian platform is an effective and adaptable tool that will serve Ukrainians in their dire time of need, and we are proud to be able to provide it."

Tim Receveur Director of Programs, PeaceTech Lab

"KRONIKA is a comprehensive humanitarian solution for information that can be shared locally. Safe evacuation corridors, location of food and medical supplies, as well as log in-depth account of war crimes and abuses. During times of active conflict and its aftermath, the ability to access accurate, on-the-ground information is pivotal for humanitarian success. We are presenting this unique technology with the sole intent of supporting the Ukrainian people through this unwarranted nightmare.”
